2012 – Selected Artist to represent NSW for the NBN Network Posters. The poster project was abandoned after they went into print due to changes within the department. Engelman calls this work , contract and the poster, “Another piece of failed governance”. Engelman has little faith in how the government manages both the economy and the landscape.
2010 – “Through my eyes” – Survey of Works – ORANGE REGIONAL GALLERY Orange NSW – a solo show of selected works from 35 years of Engelman’s extensive career as an artist.

2007 – Biennale dell Art’e di Contemporanea – Firenze Italy – invited to represent Australia by the Biennale Committee at the biennale, awarded fifth premio di pittura – Medici Medal
2007 – “Drawing Together Awards” – National Library Canberra ACT – Selected with Ngairi Reynolds, Wiradjuri Elder to exhibit in the awards. Our collaborative work, “The Spirit of the Land” was purchased by the Department of the Environment and hung at the entry to the Climate Change Conference Rooms in Parliament House for many years. The work still hangs in parliament House, Canberra. However, like most of the really important initiatives of our government, this award was abandoned in the ensuing years as the LNP took over from Labor.
